Rules: This meet will be conducted according to USA Swimming rules governing swimming competition. All events will be timed finals.
Facility: The pool is 25 yards in length, has 6 lanes, steel starting blocks at the deep-end only, and non-turbulent lane separators.
Timing: A Daktronics electronic timing system with a beep start and touch-pads will be used for all races including the 25 yard races. Two timers per lane using electronic stop watches and one button will serve as backup. The watches will be provided. We will assign teams to time certain lanes to better allow the Knox County helpers to monitor the gym and bullpen areas.
Heat Sheets: These will be available for coaches’ use at the meet (no charge). Additional sheets may be purchased for $4.00 each. Final results will be posted during the meet and a finished copy will be provided to each coach.
Seeding: The meet will be seeded with no deck entries accepted. Time cards will be prepared by the host.
Scoring: Individual events: 16-13-12-11-10-9-7-5-4-3-2-1 Relays: 32-26-24-22-20-18-14-10-8-6-4-2. If we have more than 12 teams, we will score top 16, but still just have awards for top 12.
Awards: Individual and relay: Medals for 1st thru 3rd, Rosette ribbons from 4th-6th, custom ribbons for 7th thru 12th. Team trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (host team excluded).
